After finishing up with some post processing and retouching, here are a another couple of shots from a shoot before Easter. I love those glasses! How cool are they. She wears them with attitude I reckon. Anyway, got another cool fashion shoot lined up with some of the crew from this shoot. Stay tuned, as it could be something a bit different for me which is good. Been looking to do something like this. Intriguing…
There is something fabulous about the wooden floors in the Tate Modern. I was there during the week (as they have a fantastic photography book section in their shop) and couldn’t resist a quick snap of the floor. I can’t wait till all the building works are finished in the turbine hall. Kinda feels like sacrilege to have hoarding up in that building. Maybe it’s just because it makes for an eyesore when I am trying to take a photo of it!

I got asked this week what I thought my BEST photo was that I had taken. What an almost impossible question to answer. Based on what criteria? I thought long and hard for about 10 minutes and I decided that for some reason, this was my best shot. Maybe it was just because of the sheer effort required to take it. Not that difficult I hear you say? But it is when it’s a self portrait. And yes that is real milk. Mixed with a bit of water, but there was virtually no post processing on this shot. This is the real McCoy. Well, I thought it required a little bit of effort anyway. Nevertheless, here it is. I’m sure I’ll be on a bus in a few days time and remember another shot I like better. If I do, I’ll let you know.
I guess photography and peoples taste is incredibly subjective and when you single out one photo you run the risk of thinking people will look at it and say, “Is that really the best he can do??”. But then maybe look at something else I have shot and think, “This shot is million times better than that rubbish he was peddling as his BEST!”. I don’t know. I found it hard to narrow it down. And I figured the longer I thought about it, the harder it would get, so I went for the ripping off the band-aid approach (plaster if you are in the UK) and just chose one REAL quick.
Can you pinpoint your BEST picture EVER?!
just for a bit of a giggle…
I love the unwritten law of the urinal. You take a corner first. If all the corners are taken, then directly in the middle and then if thats taken, wherever you can squeeze in. Then you tilt your chin up so as to accentuate the fact you arent looking down. Weird how this is not written down anywhere, you dont get taught, it just happens like it’s how nature intended it to be.
